Every time I go to the GP is a waste of time. The doctor actually asked me what I thought my son had and what was my expectation for the appointment. I did not go to medical school, if I did there would be no need to go to the GP. They should be the ones telling me what is happening or at least investigate it, and if I am going to an appointment, isn't it obvious that I want things to get better? Extremely disappointed with the quality of the doctors.

Because ive been coming to CHC since it opened and they never let me down. I hear horror stories about other surgeries, such as filling in E Forms, waiting days to see a doctor, never seeing the same doctor, etc.

Very disorganised GP. Multiple mistakes made for example they’ll say they’ve made a referral and it hasn’t happened. They say they’ll call to follow up and don’t.

Despite the long wait time to see the doctor, the doctor was very thorough at my son's 8 week check and immunisations apt. She gave time to listen and all info was logged efficiently. Nurse Louise is class. Very friendly and has provided me with game changing advice for my type 1 diabetes management. She allows open and honest conversations to be had without judgment and makes you feel genuinely considered during appointments. I really appreciate everything she has done for me.
I also really like the text message reminders provided by the surgery as it provides clarity of appointment times and dates which can sometimes be misremembered. The reception is generally readily available to contact if anything changes with regards to attending appointments, which is again very helpful.

I have always been very happy with the surgery. I recently saw Dr Qureshi. She was very pleasant and thorough and I have no complaints about her treatment. However, I was kept waiting for about 1 hour without an explanation or apology and this is unacceptable. We are all busy and I am self employed with many demanding and vulnerable clients. I waited over two weeks for the appointment and took timeout of my working day. I had other appointments that afternoon which I missed or had to re-arrange. I understand that there are times when delay is unavoidable and that it is the nature of your work that there may be emergencies that take precedence. However, the days when GPs can keep patients waiting for hours on end are long gone. I had no idea if I had been forgotten or overlooked. I started the appointment bad tempered and frustrated. Someone should have told me that the GP was running late and given me an idea of how long I would have to wait to see her. I would then have had the choice of waiting or re-scheduling the appointment. I would have been annoyed but not boiling over with resentment and irritation. An apology would also have been nice!

Dr Kuhnen takes time to explain why my legs have swollen after an operation, and is a very likeable person. He referred me to the hospital for the operation, which was a good experience. In the past he has arranged for me to have check-ups at a hospital, which fortunately proved negative.
During his absence on holiday, I saw his colleague, Dr Quereshi, who is also an excellent doctor. She also took a lot of time examining my legs, and arranged for me to have a chest X-ray at the hospital.
It is fairly easy (by NHS standards) to get an appointment with a doctor, another reason why I would recommend the practice. My operation was not NHS.

The practice has always fulfilled its promises. The reception staff are always polite and helpful despite the permanent pressure of work unlike some I have heard about elsewhere. Although we were worried about the post COVID team methodology initially it does actually work. I have had treatment by three GPS in the last couple of months and all has resulted in good outcomes.

Fed up I can’t be seen have to wait to be extremely ill before I can get antibiotics and now have pleurisy as not dealt with in time told my tonsils are not infected but had them taken out when I was 12!!!!!! Unfortunately, almost without fail, every sinhle time i have an appointment with Dr Massood, she is running a minimum of an hour late! My daughter has also had to wait almost 2 hours for a scheduled appointment. Whilst its understandable that on occasion the GP, may run late, this Unfortunately is a very common occurance.
Once inside, i felt rushed, not listened to, and i had to be insistent that i am not msking my symptoms up!. My daughter who has mental health problems, after waiting almost 2 hours, was interrupted mid consultation by Dr Massood to take a phone call on her mobile phone. Absolutely unacceptable. No one should be having wsots like this for scheduled appointments. Other doctor's in the surgery seem to keep on time, so why dr Massood can not is very worrying.

The doctor that was temporarily replacing the doctor on anual leave give my antibiotics that i said is not working on her but he doesn't hear me, then i tried to tell him that erythromycin for 5 days is not enough but he said we can go only day by day?... we end up un the emergency in ashford because of his mistake and even me can go online and see that eritromicin is giving for 10 not 5 days, poisoning people only the infections to go back is a joke!

Not as good as previous experience. Lots of errors this time from saying I would get a telephone call but didn’t to find out the next day they had booked a face to face after speaking to the dr but failed to give me the appointment. Again post cray was told results back and dr would like to discuss on a telephone appointment. No call received the day he was meant to call. Lastly having been to go x 2 I then get a separate notification that I need my routine BP check! No! I am not coming again. Do it whilst I am there would have been more practical.

All I asked for were some sleeping pills that I could have on standby to take every once in a while as needed. A few days after the appointment I couldn't fall asleep until 4am. Since then my sleeping routine has been utterly screwed up and it's having a major impact on my life. I'm struggling to work because I'm constantly worn down, I'm in huge debt and the tiredness I'm once again dealing with is a massive problem. This is impacting my physical and mental health. I am, excused my language, kind of f***ed. You have the ability to give me something that I would use very infrequently that would have a huge benefit on my well being but for reasons that have not being explained to me, wont. My life is not going well, I tried so hard to get it on track with the sleep and 1 bad night has utterly ruined me. The doctor was very reassuring at the time but thanks for nothing. I can't earn any money because I can't function properly. I am completely broke and struggling to feed myself.

I get treated fairly and respectfully by the doctors here, the wait for routine appts is a bit too long though as its always about a month. That can mean symptoms getting worse unnecessarily in that time and also a delay in people getting back to normal. I hear lots of complaints from other people about their practice. I have not experienced any of these issues when interacting with Drs Simmonds / Kuhnen Mahsood and co and their supoort staff. I was concerned about the effect the the retirement of Dr Simmonds would have but it was unfounded. This leads me to believe the strength of the practice comes from the its culture and not any one individual which is very reassuring. Long may this last!

On some of appointments I have waited up to 1.30 to see a doctor and seeing a doctor to decision on blood results was 3 weeks so at moment not very impress

The whole team from reception to GP’s always do their best to help you. My previous GP practice had good medical staff, but the receptionists were a nightmare, rude, unhelpful and thoroughly unprofessional.

Gone down hill since Dr Simmonds left. Not sure who is in charged now but would NOT recommend this surgery. If you want an appointment you have to be half dead!

It used to be a lovely surgery but has changed beyond recognition. I think this is more due to management failures than patient facing staff. We have now changed surgeries and it has made a huge difference.

It depends what doctor you see, some of the doctors are not as up to date with various complications when you presented at the surgery. There are a few new GP listened and acted according to your complaint

I find all the GPs at the surgery helpful. They respond as quick as they can and give relevant advice without any judgement. This is probably the best surgery I’ve been to, given the stress that surgeries are under I think they do an amazing job.

Visit the surgery yesterday for an appointment with Doctor Massod. She is a thorough doctor and I always try to see her if I can. The elderly lady on reception was welcoming and kind. I think you should have two receptionist on the desk as there was a queue of people waiting to check in and I was standing for some time waiting to be checked in.

I find the doctors trustworthy, they listen carefully to you and are charming. I feel my concerns are taken seriously and referrals made when required. I am happy with the arrangements for either a phone call consultation or to be seen if needed and both usually happen promptly. Receptionists are friendly too.

I am unclear as to how the appointment system is set up as it does require a review. Occasionally the wrong "call" to visit the urgent care unit at Canterbury Hospital can be a waste of time and expertise as one is referred back to the GP.

Most of the time I can get appointment to either speak to or see a doctor and the doctors are very good especially dr masood whom is always my choice to see when she is available. She is thourogh . Listens to you and has helped me a lot and I feel she nos me well now and I have the utmost trust in her
